Finally!! After 5 long months the work on the items and slots system has been completed.
This was a very complex update and we're sorry for the long delay in getting it out.
Items addressed in this update include:
- Individual items will now store their state information in the database
- Items will now track their uses properly
- Implemented a new slot system to make it easier to add new item slots
- Ground work has been laid for things such as item enhancements (+25 Paired Dragon Blades FTW)
We made a complete backup of the realm once we took the server down. If the new system is deemed unstable, we will revert back to that backup. It may be a few days before we can declare the new system stable. We have much testing to do. Please report any issues you have to Gardner or post them here in the forums with a capture if possible.
Assuming nothing super major goes wrong with this update, the next items up to be fixed will be the lag problem, pvp, and the between round spell casting issue for spell slingers.
Limited Item Tracking is on the short "to do" list but it is not a top priority at this time.
