This happens when you are over encumb with a bard and cannot move. I saw it a few days ago as well. It says you are no longer following self.
I believe it happens when travel or one of the strength boosts drops off and puts you over 100% enc.
No, this is from Tito's pov. It would make sense, in a way, if being over enc causes this, as Disraeli uses hero, and I think it wore off at that exact moment.
trav is also a party spell and can cause the same thing.
