Still having some problems with targetting players (of course I don't help matters by naming my chars Ian and Ian2).

Newhaven, Arena
Also here: Ian, acid slime, acid slime.
...
[HP=11/MA=10]:slap ian
You slap Ian2!
Ian2 slaps you!

Since I used a whole name, it should have targetted Ian.  Instead it targetted self.

Also, the command to show actions isn't working.  I've always just used "ac", but the complete command is "action" (not actions)
If we can hit that bulls-eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards.? Check-mate!

The command isn't in yet... not really a bug... but I'll add it to the list of needed stuff..

As far as targeting goes I suppose we could probably switch the default to target the shorter name...

No no no no no.

If I had said "slap ia" it should have asked me to be more specific.  Since I used a complete name that is the player I should have targetted.  Not because he had the shorter name, because I used the complete version of it.

lalala I cant hear you.... so do you want the quick fix or the better one...

Ian is the shorter name........ I look at this way ian will always be an incomplete version of ian2.... It really doesn't matter that in it self Ian is a complete name it still will not be specific enought to correct the targeting. Lets say two days from now somone wants to target Ian2 which is longer and they now type ian with ian in the room now its going to do the action to the wrong target again...

I hate to say it but really it should be making you use some of the last name in this case because the spellings are so close...

In this case I think I agree with Ian.  I've used the logic of "If the typed text matches the exact name of something, consider that the target no matter what other names are in the room" in other cases, I must have just missed it in this case.  This probably applies to other targetting as well so we'll have to keep our eyes peeled for other cases.

TGS v1.0 (coming soon)

Not that I don't agree with Ian since we are both suggesting swapping in a way that it would target the shorter and closer match. However I do think there is a more specific targeting method possible... If we need it or not is another story...

Giggle I'm almost curious what mmud does on this one... Anyone care to check...
