August 2009 Bug Busting Summary

This list is a summary of all the work done this month on the Greatermud project.  This list is intended to give an overview to visitors to show them that this project is still very much alive, and that work is being done on a regular basis.  Most importantly, it shows that this program has actual, honest to God support, that responds to bugs as they are brought up, and fixes them.



08/07/09

  • Fixed remaining issues with the new items/slots system
  • Fixed targeting bug with monsters.  Should target full match before partial match now
  • Fixed targeting bug with inviting gang members.  Same as above.
  • Prefixes are now in.  Say hello to the Happy Guardsman
  • Fixed Gang Leader Reroll crash bug.
  • Worked on gang house issues related to gang leader rerolling.  See notes below for important information.


08/09/09

  • Items removed from a player by a textblock will update the items table correctly now
  • Monsters should display the proper prefix now
  • Fixed bug that allowed you to engage combat without the proper required to hit item


08/22/09

  • Items marked as "not droppable" can no longer be hidden/stashed
  • You can no longer see players, mobs, items, ect when blinded
  • Mystics will no longer get weapon hitspells from combat unless they melee
  • Items marked Remove@maint will be removed from your inventory at cleanup
  • If you are saint or "high good" and do an evil act, you will be knocked down to a "low good" now
  • Gave Balthazar an attitude adjustment.  Will no longer slaughter good/neutral players on site.
  • USE items such as chests and potions will not return to your inventory after this update
  • Final (we hope) changes to monster alignment system.  Expect a few bugs though


08/30/09

  • Fixed HTML displays to ignore javascript based names
  • Added Lieutenants to gangs.  Should work as per MajorMUD only better cuz we're Greater!
  • Verified removing gang members works (online or offline)  UNINVITE MEMBER <player>
  • Upgraded TGS and GreaterMUD to .NET 3.5 SP1



  • Fixed problem with searching and getting a bogus blinding light message
  • Fixed aforementioned blinding light message so it didn't look like something Metro would say
  • Fixed problem with Vampires insta-killing people
  • Fixed problem with guards hauling ebils off to jail when they were at full hps
  • Fixed problem with the player packet that drives the status viewer
  • Fixed Wizard Knock
