It's used in hospitals to decrease the risk of gangrene. All my education says peroxide is great but to rinse it off after cleansing/debriding/etc followed by careful drying of any intact skin. If the state boards cause my puppy to lose his foot, I'll be writing a harshly worded letter to the NCLEX folks.

Hospitals also takes hundreds of contagious people and cram them all into one small area.

You can thank the government for that...a government that allows insurance companies to determine what healthcare providers may do and how they may do it.
