Might be an issue with our textblock implementation.  I assume he should not have said that last part you bolded if all went well?

I think so.  It's been forever since I got this far in regular Mud, so I can't say 100%, but it seems odd otherwise.

Correct me if I'm wrong.... But doesn't that quest give you the Sunburst Necklace if it's available (the morningstar ring being a consolation prize)?  Isn't that message basically saying the sunburst wasn't available?

You could be right.  There's a message there for failing the sunburst check.

That message doesn't occur when you get the sunburst.
