Traps are only hitting the party leader, ropes are only required by the party leader, only the party leader needs 5 gold to go through the Silvermere gates. Although this is different then we are used to there is a certain amount of logic in them working this way. Party members see the trap hit the leader and avoid it, followers climb the same rope the leader used etc.

Someone had mentioned the tolls in the game but I don't remember seeing it getting posted. All of these are follow bugs...

Ya I'd agree with the rope part too... However with the traps i'd say it should hit the entire front rank at least... at that point though it might as well hit all of them...

if we are going to go that route, then each character should also have the chance to dodge a trap.  (just my opinion there).  Think about it, if a trap is a set of darts coming in from the left, then only the left person would get hit with the majority, then the second get some more, etc, each time reducing the number of darts available.  If it was a boulder coming in from the side, then the boulder would be seen by the others, slowed by the first, and have an increasing chance of being dodged by each successive person in the frontrank. If its something coming from the front, then it should go front to back.  If its from the top, it depends on how LARGE the trap is.   Traps could get extremely complicated very quickly :)    At the very least, think of a large boulder coming down a ramp... those take time to build up speed, and can USUALLY be avoided by just ducking down under a corner of it.  darts should just glance off plate and scale, and be seriously reduced in damage by chain and some reduction by studded leather, etc.

As far as the rope thing, I fully agree with only one person in the party needing a rope, it's only logical.

As far as the tolls, I could go either way... could think of it as per person walking into a turnstile, or a group of people in one car (party) paying on a per car (party) basis, or get a discount for size of party, (5 first person, 4, second, 3, each additional, blah blah... this could get complicated in coding also... but it's only 5 gold, not like it's going to break the bank either way.
Gon't Ge a [Brox!!!

Unfortunately parties don't keep track of left and right sides but only general party ranks... Otherwise I'd be like ya that's a great idea... I'd even say figure out a good way to revise parties and player posittion in them and post that and the trap idea in the idea forum so that we don't loose it in the fixed folder...

The other unfortunate is this does need to be fixed to mmud standards like it works normally for now.. Its change-able later though. I'm always open for a discussion on the points and issues of it... but we should try to keep that to a minimum in the bug forum and rather post that type of stuff in the idea section or discussion section..
