Anti cancelling Skin (Ability 73 Dispell magic bug)

Looks to me like the spell Antidote cancels the spell Barkskin..

[HP=110/MA=26]: (Resting) skin
You feel strange for a moment.
You feel tough!
[HP=110/MA=11]:anti
You cast antidote on Sandoz!
The effects of barkskin wear off!
[HP=110/MA=3]:rest
You are now resting.

Interesting..when I went to confirm this I realized that antidote seems to cancel ALL spells.


You cast antidote on Sparhawk!
Your tap into nature leaves your body!
Your skin returns to normal.
The globe dissipates into nothing!
You stop regenerating.
Your starlight spell fades away.
The forces of nature leave you.


Island of Bones
You notice 2 hideous faces, 2 rotted tongues here.
Also here: Sparhawk, Winterhawk, Hugh*.
Obvious exits: north, south, east
[HP=510/MA=444]:@do anti rus
You say "@do anti rus"
Sparhawk casts antidote on you!
The effects of magic armour wear off!
Your mageshield shimmers and fades.
The chaos shield fizzles out.
The effects of smite wear off!

When you cast Antidote, all active bless spells are removed.

Druids are using this to remove a bad nature tap cast, allowing them to quickly (and cheaply) tweak it up to lvl max, then running it for days by recasting before it wears off.  Being able to consistantly maintain +175 (and higher) mana regen really probably should be re discussed ;)

Antidote, cure poison, cure blind, blessed vision, and others I would assume, do this. More than likely any spell that has a dispel magic component will behave this way. It's not always a good thing..when actually poisoned or blinded it's a real pain to have to re-bless.

The same is done by the cure poison priestly spell.

I think its time to get the spells to act just like in majormud. This way is far too abusable.

Its being caused by the following ability:
73 Dispell magic

Vitoc with spells the value equals the ability number that dispell magic is targeting and a value of 0 targets all spell given abilities. I haven't tried to put this on an item ever so I'd say leave that out for now.

There are currently all of 16 spells effected by this and able to cause this bug.
