I've come to realize that if a saint attack you, you can't attack back without taking a cloud.
Fail!

Actually this is anyone neutral and above.
I would like this fixed asap, as people are abusing it.

Also reported months ago...

We'd all like a lot of things fixed.  :-\

I dont' give a shit if it was reported yesterday.

It's a major fucking bug in a pvp realm.  Duh?

Who the hell is your character anyway?

Let me rephrase this in two short sentences:

Stop posting your half-assed summaries of "bugs" here and burying the actual bug posts, you ignorant asshat.

It would be nice to have ANYTHING FIXED AT THIS POINT.

Lol, atleast I'm trying to post bugs, nubcake.

I just would prefer to be able to attack back before I get rerolled like you did, lol. What a nub.

I just noticed your Evony-esque sig.  :D

Whether this has been reported in the past or not, it is still a problem and a major problem in a pvp realm (something you wouldn't be aware of since you rage quit ages ago).

Anyway, rather than ridicule a users concerns can we explore some possible 'quick-fixes'?

Seeing as it is a PVP realm and PVP should be encouraged wherever possible, can we possibly have it so everyone can nominate an alignment and would it be possible to set something like this up automatically? In much the same way as you collect a gold jeweled ring from the bank? (ie @neutral, @criminal etc)

Saints will cry, but fuck them, what are saints doing on a pvp realm anyway. Besides, this would allow Saints to pvp too without consequence. I envision carnage which can't be a bad thing for a pvp realm :)

I am not suggesting this be in anyway a long term solution, just a means of addressing the fact that if you are Fiend you can't retaliate and in addition, it will allows some of the better evil weapons in the game to be used without leaving yourself prone to attack.

Anyway, let us know what you think and what we can do, because it really needs to be addressed.

I don't object to this if the majority agrees however it should be noted that if you pick an item that has a high ep restriction and you use one of my @ commands to change your alignment that item would be removed immediately.  So using those items is going to leave you just as prone to attack.

yea it was being kicked around that if this was to be a quick fix that it may cost a life or/and runic's and be a once a day or once per clean-up. And this either take you straight to neutral or just a set # of eps taken off like 60 or 50. or more or less.

Gards, is there a way this can be put to a vote then and is it possible to specify an exact number of EPs? (ie /gard @set eps +200)

I think if there are any limitations on how it can be used it will only disadvantage those that are Good/Saint at the moment.

Take Crabby as an example. If we all attacked him, then changed our alignments to Saint, he wouldn't be able to engage in battle with us without losing some of his spells/buffs. The same applies for anyone who quested Good (or is good) and has equipped good only weapons/armour.

Maybe if it gets voted up it can be tested for a week or something, see how it runs and if problems emerge it can be rolled back and some of the limitations Excarkun suggested could be explored.

Again, just throwing around ideas. Would be good to hear what others think on this.

Even if we go this route, which is still being considered and not set in stone yet, there is no way I'd set up anything that allowed you to go to Saint.  I don't do it for the pve realm.  The lowest I would be willing to go for pvp is most likely the low side of neutral, possibly... possibly the high side of good.   Saint you will earn.

Sounds good, let's do it  ;D
