  • Worked on dodge some.
  • Deployed the mechanics for something else we've been working on for pvp.  Not fully implemented yet though.

  • Worked on dodge some.

id reckon u did...my exp rate dropped 35%

correction....25 percent

so i guess we arent privvy to any of the latest changes prior to the reset this evening?  thats neat...

We were previously applying the diminishing returns on the dodge ability value, not the dodge percent.

We backed the diminishing returns out of the ability and to the actual percent dodge after acc has been applied.  The way it was before, the second you went over 60 dodge ability, you were seeing diminishing returns on dodge bonuses.  Now you won't start seeing diminishing increases until you reach 60% dodge vs. whatever is attacking you.

This was per Deathcow's suggestion.  He has more knowledge of the original systems, formulas, and algorithms than anyone (which is why he's the bug exploitation master) and has been instrumental in getting GMUD to where it is.  While he's a little shady in-game sometimes  :-\ , outside of it he genuinely cares about the progress and adherence to MMUD rules as much as possible (sometimes to a fault).  People have been complaining about dodge.  If DC was right, this fix should have helped more people than it hurt and gotten us closer to MMUD, but yeah, some people might have seen a decrease in overall dodge.  We might decrease the factor of diminishing returns on dodge.  Further research is necessary.
