Delf Queen getting two attack types in a round

(These were 3 consecutive lines from one combat round)
How did she attack with her sword and then cast shadowstrike?

I'm at work, else I'd look it up in MME. Off the top of my head, 2 possibilities:
1. You are seeing 2 differen't combat rounds. One where she attacked last and the next where she attacked first
2. The energy on these attacks total up to <= 1000. Monsters (and players) get 1000 energy per round. Monsters can mix different attacks in a round as long as their energy stays <= 1000.

I didn't know they could mix attacks.  And this is a snippet from the middle of a round.  I omitted the seven million lines of royals swinging and whatnot, but this was definitely the middle of a round.  If they can change attacks, though, it's all good.
