Do we still have a third realm or is that gone forever ???

It was a short-lived experiment to see if we could break up the combat rounds into smaller and more frequent rounds.  It would require quite a bit of effort to make it work right with the current content.

There has been some talk about a third realm, with a new op.  I'm not opposed to that idea.
