Here is a class Mod I made for mmud, you can change it or use it if you like.

Class: Bishop
They get one priest and one mage spell each level, but a weaker version of both. I took away their bash abillity. The downfall is that they are about 4 levels behind any pure caster, and 250% exp chart. But it's nice having a ton of spells. Also every couple levels there are some spells that are a combination of both mage and priest, they are indicated with "/".

Here is the mmud spell chart, just to give you an idea.
Level 1
minor heal
mmis

Level 2
harm
blur

Level 3
bless / Illuminate
illuminates, not light ball.

Level 4
curse
smite

Level 5
turn undead
frost jet

Level 6
hammer
resist cold

Level 7
protec evil good / eternal shield

Level 8
blight
resist fire

Level 9
chant
flash

Level 10
cure poison
stinking cloud

Level 11
agony
shadow form

Level 12
major heal
shock shield

Level 13
greater curse / slow

Level 14
greater bless
dancing blades

Level 15
healing rain
vampire touch

Level 16
glitterdust
speed

Level 17
blind / sun bolt

Level 18
cure blindness
confusion

Level 19
Holy Force
Vulnerability

Level 20
Hold person / Fireball
costs lots of mana, and I took away the area effect on fireball.

Notice that the normal fireball is a level 15 mage spell.

These are all the spells I made so far. Let me know if you want any of it.

Where the class is probably rather enjoyable to play it doesn't seem to fill a niche in greatermud.  I'm working on a spellcasting system that makes casters far more customizable than they are in majormud. See Spell Circles. My hope is that this system will be able to create hybrid form magic users in a fair manner.

On a side note, where most of those spells are not unique to majormud I'm guessing many of them are copies(at least in messages) from majormud's databases.  And if that holds true, I would be unable to use them.

Yeah that is a much better idea... maybe I should shut the hell up and read the forums before posting ;>

Bishops as a class name should really be saved for a prestige class for priests.
