Too hard?

Ian said the monsters were too hard and that he couldnt kill 1.  So I rolled and tried it...

Mysterious Woods, Barricade
 
    A well used cartpath winds its way south into the deep forest. Footprints
and wheel tracks line this well used path.  Along the side of the road there
are a few menacing claw marks etched into the powdery earth.  Vibrant
evergreens line the paths edges making travel off the sides of the path quite
difficult.  Many trees have been stacked in the roadway blocking any exit to
the south.
 
You notice 2 silver nobles here.

I remember telling you they were hard (but not imposible) to kill when you don't have the basic gear but with that gear I never had much of a problem. However I did died in there quite a bit with a few different characters during my initial testing. I've found groups of 3 still have enough umph to drop me 40 hp at lvl 12 with a 22/2 ac. @ anything less then 16 to 18ish/1 ac they seem to be a bit more on the difficult side.

So this cap only tells me part of the story...

What was your AC?
What was Ian's?
What was Ian using as a weapon?
What were you using?
Stats too that would be helpful...




I was using free gear, lvl 1 dwarf wh with a crude spear.

Was ian still a timelord? Might just be his low combat or maybe lack of any gear he was naked sitting in the shop when I saw him last?

i think it cause he was using a whip, which is actually only 1 max dmg over fists.

Thats just not right :P Whips should do more damage then that or do something special at least...

Dude, its just a whip.

I know but still whips have a long history of violence behind them that should be upheld hehe...

I'll make an erek NPC you can torture with them...hows that?

w00t, my first kill!  I'm on the top list!  Looks like i have to separate them to kill them.  Last time I tried fighting both I died.

FYI: Timelords suck.  FBOL sucks.  Whips suck.  Kobolds suck.
If we can hit that bulls-eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards.? Check-mate!

FYI FBOL is extremely powerful in the noob area.
