We had this discussion previously.  IMO if it shows for one person it should show for all (or at least if that was your target), but I can easily change it.  Let me know what you all think.

TGS v1.0 (coming soon)

I know what DC will say clone first.... hehe

Personally I think it should be the way you have it now but if its so easy to change we might as well just change it for now and we can change it back later.

It looks freaking wierd this way.

maybe this would look less weird???

I changed my mind it should only tell you if your engaged in combat... which would mean your looking at that monster and what its doing.

I'm with you, although I think that's still different from Major MUD.  As DC said, in Major it only shows cash dropping for the person who dealt the final blow.  How about we show it to everyone who has that mob as a target?  That way, it will look exactly the same.

I dont understand why everyone wants to change things that arent broke..coughclonecough.coooough.

its not changing something that isn't broke because its already broken... hehe.. right now its just deciding if it should be exactly fixed or fixed slightly different...

Explain to me the justification for only showing the last person the cash that drops?

If two or more players are attacking the same mob, they all have the same intent; to kill the mob.  Attacking a mob constitutes a subscription to any events that may occur as a result of attacking; ie. death of the mob, exp gained, and cash dropped as a result of death.  Just because my round wasn't the round that killed the mob doesn't mean I'm not interested in seeing the same messages the killer sees.  I'm obviously watching the mob if I just attacked it, so I should see the cash drop.  It's common sense and Major MUD was stupid to not show it.  Should I really have to press enter to look around the room just to see if any cash dropped from the mob I was just attacking?  Hell, IMO it should even show items dropping in those messages as well.  After plowing through a room full of mobs (or possibly using area spells), you hit enter and see a bunch of items sitting on the ground; how do you know which mob dropped which items?  Well, that's easy; in Major MUD, you don't.  Sorry, but that's lame.

Ok.  In newest version only players who have the killed mob as a target will see the cash dropped.
