Does anyone know exactly how MRES works in mmud (not gmud ;) )

I'd heard that the effect of MRES max out at 150, but is that both the resisting spells AND reducing damage?  I know the damage reduction maxes at 150 MR (25% spell damage taken), but it seems (and I may be dreaming) that I resist spells more often with higher MR (mine is currently around 197, but could push it higher if I thought it would do anything useful).

DC, Locke, anyone?
If we can hit that bulls-eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards.? Check-mate!

150 MR =50% reduction
100 MR =25% recuction
50 MR =0% reduction
0 MR =-25% reduction

Also Anti-Magic gives an additional bonus (hidden from the stat value) that allows you get higher than 50% reduction.

I'm thinking antimagic just adds +25% reduction..well kinda think about it maybe the mres stat is calculated differently when you have antimagic.

yup i believe it was 25%... i tested all the resistances back wheni started editing on quicksilver...

when you add anti-magic it doesnt DISPLAY the magicres bonus in stat.. but its there.

A lot of people type stat as WH and wonder why their magicres is so low.. its because some of it isnt displayed.

Don't WHs (or anyone with anti-magic i suppose) get additional mres/level?

I recall that being the case, although admitted I don't play hunters in mmud.

Eh I'd build one to test if that didnt sound utterly boring.

No Anti-Magic stays the same if I remember correctly.
