I was just thinking about a project like this when someone directed me to look here.

Who am I?
My name is Nilyen, and I'm a code junky.   In my free time I enjoy writing code.   And on the occasion, checking my megamud to see if I need to train :)

I'm fluent in ASP.NET C# 2.0 MSSQL 2k5.  In addition, I know a boatload of legacy languages if they're needed, including, but not limited to:
ASP3, C# 1.1, VB.NET (1.1 and 2.0) VB6 (Don't ask) and more...

I am a Senior Applications Developer by trade at a multi million dollar insurance company here in Philadelphia.  My primary responcibilities invole me writing ASP.NET applications primarily, but I've also written quite a few Console and Winforms Apps.  In my free time lately I've been working to learn some 3.0 stuff, but to be honest, it bores me.

What I'd like to do, is offer my services.  I think I'd really enjoy working to help this project.   My availability fluctuates, but I'm sure I can meet the demands of any task.   I'd also be willing to sign an N.D.A. if you felt that appropriate.

Since no one knows me, and I don't know them.  I don't expect you to just hand the source over to me and give me a task.    All I offer is my skills, you let me know if I can be of any use.

Found my old posts, Never got anywhere with that Client I was working on at the time.   (Like so many others) 

Ended up working on this "TigerMUD" project for a little while,  but it was a mud like...Diku, Circle, etc...   Not my kinda thing.  And the project was kind of....stale...

Ahh well... How are things?

Sent you an E-mail.  I've accepted that I don't have the time or energy to finish this by myself.  I'll probably be introducing you to the code soon.  I'm restructuring TGS a bit to provide more of a framework for error reporting and turning the TGS server into a service rather than a winforms app.  The TGS console (currently a winform app) will plug into this service, and I'd like to create a light-weight web based version of the console as well.

I have lots of big ideas I'm working on with GreaterMUD, mostly involving combining the in-game telnet realm with the web and I find myself wanting to work on those features rather than the actual in-game code.  In-game we obviously have lots of bugs left to fix, a few outstanding items that still need to be implemented (using objects for example), and items that still have yet to be completed (textblocks for example, Soul = MIA).  If you're interested in working on these items and anything else that might come down the pipeline, let me know.  I'll check in all my latest code and help get you started.
