Apparently you can move after ice ho freezes you to the ground?
Also, I thought the spell also damaged your hps, but I may be wrong.

Hold person ability had not yet been coded...

Fermouth if you could test this again to make sure it is working right.

getting knocked to the ground by flaming zombies puts a hold on you.  can't move while on the ground.  I did find this one out this evening.  That hold person part is working, at least.
