Metro's MajorMUD forums

We all know their forums have been taking forever to load and timing out frequently.  Recently I've seen a couple of these:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, mmsupport@metrobbs.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

For a while I backed off with my bashing of Metro because I was hoping they'd work with me on selling the rights to use their content.  Well I know that's not going to happen, so screw em.

The way they've let the community down is absolutely inexcusable.  They've outright lied to everyone on numerous occasions about development when in fact they haven't accomplished anything meaningful on the game in years.  They've ignored everyone in their forums for years.  They've been leading on Mike's "co-op" for weeks now, telling them they'll soon be accepting offers.  Why anyone would willingly hand them over thousands of dollars for that old crappy codebase is beyond me, and I can't stress enough what a mistake that is.

Anyway...

Shame on you Metro.  You have failed us miserably.  To hell with you and your mishandling of Major MUD.

It takes a seriously fucked up company with horrible management to let a game like MajorMUD die the way it did, especially considering how many loyal players they inherited when they took the reigns years ago.

Metro lived up to their reputation.  Hard core PC gamers know Metro as "The place where games come to die"

Wonder how that got that reputation? ;)

The saddest thing is after YEARS of them fuckin around, there's still a loyal base of players. and they still screw with us. If they had done ANYTHING at all in the last 3 years, I wouldnt be here. Dammit. I love playing majormud, and they just dont care. bleh.

Lets get this thing debugged so we can move on without them.

Yeah,  They could have released like ..  One 100 room expansion every 2 years.. and still have drooling fanbois.    But Nooooo.   They had to get that Chair and desk moved from one building to the next! ..  Fuckers.
