Not sure if this is the right forum for it, but i have a problem with Megamud and Gmud.

When there is a cleanup or the board goes offline for a new build, megamud doesn't realise it has been disconnected.. it thinks its still online even though there has been no change for the past 10 hours. Not sure what is going on here.. Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

My settings say to reconnect if carrier lost etc... but the problem is it doesnt recognise carrier has been lost.

I've seen this happen on other telnet programs but not on a everytime basis I'm really not sure whats causing it. Normally when it does happen it realizes its not connected when I prompt for a return.

For megamud you could set a couple timed relogs as a temp work around.

What version of Megamud do you run?

1.03u

Even if I hit return when not connected, nothing happens.

So you don't get the message in blue on your screen when the board gets taken down?

Also cleanup doesn't shut the board down.  You play right through that unless cleanup causes a crash like it did the other night.

Nope, don't get any message when the board shuts down.

I see Vitoc gossip that the board is restarting, then everything just freezes.

Not sure what to tell you on that...  Mega isn't figuring out that it has been disconnected.  Are you using a proxy server by any chance?
