Someone mentioned that mobs are following people outside of the arena.  At first I marked it as a "to fix" item, but it got me thinking.

I thought back to when I played EQ for the short time I did... I remember the first time I saw a huge mob  being "trained" through a n00b area.  I remember laughing as I watched half the people scattering chaotically in fear of their life, and then watched some guards protect the poor noobs by killing this beast.  It stuck out in my mind as a much more realistic solution to the issue of mobs going where they shouldn't rather than these artificial barriers.  How cool would it be to have a dragon following your party as you flee into town, and having the guards do their best to protect you.  Yeah, there might be some innocent bystanders but such is life.

Anyway, I just thought it sounded cool.  At some point we will probably have to increase the effectiveness of the guards in the major cities (will probably incorporate them into alignment much better then previously), so this could be another of their uses.

TGS v1.0 (coming soon)

I like this idea but at the moment I don't have time to add what I want to to say about it.. I'll be back for this one.

I love it. If you can get the guards to help, following in good. Might also be a good idea for guards to intervene in pvp that takes place in their room...can't imagine a guard would just allow a brawl righ in the center of town.

Ok just a few thoughts when I first saw this it made me think there should be some types of barriers that can be done to bar some types of monsters from entering or exiting an area.

It is a common fantasy theme, that the Undead they can?t cross onto holy ground, or crossover running water. So maybe there could be room flags to mark these types of areas so they would function with that fantasy theme.

Now the second has to do with supernatural creatures and huge monsters. I think that in cases where NPCs like townspeople, drunken fools, and similar non-adventuring types see this type of monster they should to panic and run around yelling about the monster.

Thats it for now.
