I'm not sure if this is a bug, already reported,  or if it was intentional and it's kinda nice but, here's my cival duty. I was in a party the other night in non-pvp and I used the /gard @silvermere teleport and my party member teleported with me. IDK if this is intentional, but it's a good idea. I'm sure it's not meant to be in the game. Wished I had a cap but I think it's pretty obvious what I mean. If you want a cap I can do it again and post it.

Were you the party leader?

Indeed. I didn't say "@party /gard @silvermere" it was just me sending you the telepath personally and him following.

He followed when you moved or the same time that you teleported?

Lemme start over :)

Ok, I was with Lupus. Lupus was afk at the time. I teleported back to the pier while him and I were still in the party (with myself leading) and he followed as if he had typed the same command. This was not possible because he was afk at the time. I typed:

/gard @silvermere

I didn't disband the party before I teleported. I get to the pier, get ready to run back to my loop (through the river that is) and he started taking damage from the water (since i was the only one with raft) and i immediately realized it. I teleported again to test what had just happened and he again went back to the pier with me.

Basically, I sent you the teleport command, Gardner, and he teleported with me. I will get a cap of it later when the board goes back up, if it does it again. If I cannot get it to do it again it could have been an underlying issue when the board went crazy after it crashed from the enslave bug.

I'm just trying to narrow down when he actually moved.  Did you move and then notice him with you or did he move at the same time you did?

He teleported when I sent you the command to teleport myself. It took me a few seconds to realize what had just happened but once I teleported again and he again was still with me, still in party, and teleported with me back to the pier without me doing the @party command. So he moved at the same time as me.

It's baaaaaaccccck!

...or did it just not truly go away before?

Yeah it went away.  This seems to be a little different this time.  Last time the party leader had to actually move.

Like I said, I'll cap it tonight if I can and post it.

I think what Gardner was getting at was this...

Was Lupus with you in the room when you were teleported to the pier, or did he appear when you moved north or south to the next room...

In my experience it requires the party leader to move.

I.e. I can have 4 people in a party.  Leader ports out (without disbanding the party mind you).  The other 3 go their separate ways.  Leader moves a room, boom they're all back with leader.

Workaround is to just disband party before port.

Come to think I didn't see his name in the 'also here' line when I first teleported. Once I moved he went with me. I do remember a post about this before but apparently it's either come back or just wasn't fixed to begin with.

In that case it is the old bug come back to haunt us.  Should be an easy fix though.

I could see this as some sort of party feature toggle..  It does have benefit.. not having to reform a party through a portal for instance.

Although I would be curious it allows someone to bypass level/alignment/class checks.

Was interesting getting on Galleon with a party of 3, 2 had not warped onto boat yet, but party leader had, party leader moved one room on boat and sucked the other two in.  That was amusing.
