How about making see hidden a percentage based on your stealth?  So you have a chance of sneaking passed a see hidden character..   something like that.  I always hated trying to sneak to Arlysia cause of those stupid Cupids.

I would not overly object to this providing it was balanced out by removing perfect stealth from the game.

I would be good with that.   I always thought perfect stealth was dumb.  it should be based on your stealth.

Seems like a good idea but I'd limit it to only the most supreme stealth classes or possibly Ninja only.
