This is not a bug, this is by design.  PvP Hang pens apply to any combat situation.  I'm moving this to Logic Changes up for discussion so people can comment on this.

I've never gotten a hangpen while hanging vs monsters ever before, and i've hung alot of times vs monsters, even while still engaged

This is a configurable setting in WG setup. From the WG GenSetup:

Level of punishment for hanging up?

What level of punishment do you want to give your users if they drop carrier while in the game?

HIGH   = Always punish
MEDIUM = Only punish if attacking/being attacked
LOW    = Only punish if in PVP combat (attacking
          or being attacked)
NONE   = Never punish 

I suggest it be implemented here similarly.

My question i what is the actual hang penalty ????
should the benealty be you die from full health even if the max round an opponent does is say 100 and your at 200 health ??

what happened here is. there was another hit on your since the round was not over, even tho you hang, the round still gets to finish.

WHen you say another hit thats my question I saw NO hits..he was NOT hidden.
Do level 20"s normally do 200 hp's of damage NOT back stabbing ?? in 1 round ???



Current PVP hang penalty settings:
GMUDProd2_PVPHangPenaltyNumItemDrops=0
GMUDProd2_PVPHangPenaltyHPPercentLoss=35

As Mr. Sinsister suggested, maybe the mobs got off another round as you were hanging?  Going from 37 to -20 is only a 57 damage round away, and the two worms were more than capable of doing that kind of damage in a round.

When I hung I saw the message "william moves to attack and was at 197 hp,s
So I am assuming that I was NOt back stabbed...I also saw no damage ever and when I relogged on I was in the temple...
His char was only a level above me to two at most I think...Not real sure...But it is hard for me to say since I do not watch other chars at all....
But the day before when I was in the ac I never seen him do a 200 round...so 197 plus whet ever the low is for dieing -32 ?
It just seems strange .. is all...
But when the realm is reset Ill try again...
To look for bugs



ive seen this more than once thru the yrs at gmud and other boards.....when items drop from hangin in pvp or combat or whatever its easier to see....here in gmud and other boards ive seen items drop from hangin to mobs in combat....albeit few and far between but it happens....and yes i know we are not set to have items drop in pvp now but when we did i saw it happen more than once from hangin in a regular script monster combat scenario......

Going back to the 3 year old necro...AOE spells used to have this effect.  This was fixed.
