So you didn't even give any of it a look?  ::) Disappointing.

I did look at it.  On the surface it seems okay but content creation isn't my thing really.  I rarely get involved in the discussions regarding specific changes needed to the content namely because my ideas revolve around going back to the days where it actually took a little bit of effort just to reach level 20.  None of this 35 million quest exp crap.  Not a popular idea when everyone seems helll bent on getting as high as they can, as fast as they can, while doing nothing more than click a few buttons each day.

The impact of 190 str and health over 150 is surprisingly minimal i have done some testing with a hog wh (lvl 67) at the differences between 190 180 and 170 and the hp gain is about 100 or so, i will have to work on it to get the exact figures. The major difference is that you can get light instead of medium and now get 40% crits. The health difference is really quite minor.
+8 max damage, 3360 enc....an additional 10 crits, 20 accuracy

Add an item to the game with just the +8 max damage 10 crits and 20 accuracy and see if people say its no big deal...really quite minor.

BTW people not only use this item...they wage wars over it

#: 1460, Name: black stained tunic, Worn: Torso, Armr Type: Silk, Level: 40, Enc: 100, AC/DR: 10/0, Acc: 0, Limit: 1, AC/Enc: 100
>> Abilities: MaxDamage +7, Alter HP +150, Dodge -15, ManaRgn -25, Magical +1, EvilOnly +150
>> References: Monster: Bloody Executioner(811) (5%)

dont forget a 30hp tick increase over 150 health, being able to carry an extra 3360 worht of junk items for when you get pvp hung and drop 2, and being able to swing trunk as a wh with max qnd and full armor. Also smash accuracy. Also ...... yeah

Maybe i havent tested this enough but i was attacking the practice dummy for 15 mins with 180 and 190 str and found it to only increase max damage by 1, i will have to test this some more, to double check.

+10 str = +1 dmg

how'd that get overlooked -_-

I think the STR formula is 10 str +1 max up til 100, over 100 is bonus zone, every 10 str above 100 is +1 min and +2 max damage

I'm looking at it right now...day 3 of my conversations with vitoc about MMUD.   I mentioned this mechanic, dec 20th 2005. 2012 it has failed to be implemented.

IN 2005 Vitoc was sure that everyone was aware of it.....

I just confirmed the str damage bonus on a non greatermud board, yes Stalerr is right its not implemented on greatermud correctly im not sure why.

new haven, thief /1 dr -1 damage

lvl 1 hog 100 str ninja with quarterstaff damage 2-12

damage 1-17

lvl 1 hog 110 str ninja with quaterstaff damage 2-12

damage 2-18

formula +1 max damage per 10 str starting at 50, i think 40 is 0 and 30 is -1 from memory.
formula +1 min damage per 10 str above 100 starting at 110

Greatermud is missing the +1 min damage

Funny that no one noticed this and just remained convinced it was +2

Had this same thought today, +1 to removing the 35 mill experience bonus, well all experience bonuses, but namely that one
