Fix Khaz

So seriously - you've got Dwarven Warriors and Guards who summon two more every round... someone whose evil has no chance at making it through that area without sacrificing a life to drag them out of the way... and even then if you enter a shop or another room where there's a merchant, you're screwed.

To make it worse - gnome merchants will also summon guards?

So as it stands, can't go to dwarven mines, can't go to desert - you've effectively cut out a pretty significant part of the realm for those of us who want to play an evil char.

Com'on man.  Fix Khaz.  Or just remove all of the dwarven guards/warriors altogether - they serve ZERO purpose.

It is possible, just needs  to be done.

Historical sense and poetic sense should not, in the end, be contradictory, for if poetry is the little myth we make, history is the big myth we live, and in our living, constantly remake.

Possible.

Thanks Gardner.  It'd be really helpful - kind of cuts me off from dwarven mines and desert.  :(

Sorry for the thread bump, but I feel the need to bring this up again.  I'm not sure why Khaz was turned back into an "evil stay out" place, but you're cutting people off from the ability to complete sunstone quest, or complete third quest unless they are sneaky or hogre tank.  Want to play an evil dwarven priest?  Go ahead, but know that 2/5th the realm will be off-limits until you're level 50 or so.

So you've now got khaz guards halfway into gnome village, khaz guards inside the dwarven mines, khaz guards halfway to the redstone tunnels, and there are a shitload of them stacked in certain rooms.  I'm sure it's especially cute when a margoyle or other see hidden is sitting in the room with them.

Being evil is already tough enough.  Silvermere is already off limits for the most part.  You're already a marked target for death to at least half the realm for no reason other than "Dis is da interwebs noob, die die die!"

Let's go back to making this halfway normal.  Not everything with majormud was broken, and this was a prime example.

I agree with this 100%.  Playing an evil character is impossible at lower levels (1-49) due to not being able to enter silvermere without having your ass handed to you by the sheriff and templars, Khaz is a no-go zone for pretty much the entire game the way some of the rooms are stacked, and f**k Rhudar, they charge you gold just to enter the bank!  If Shadowmere was ever added to the realm, it might make a viable option for an evil character home-base rather than Silvermere, and you can get around the realm without ever having to enter Silvermere, pretty much.  But, Khaz is a different story.  The only way to bypass that city is via the wasteland vortices and NPP portals.  Obviously, not an option for a character below level 30 or so.  The way the game currently stands, playing an evil character is just not feasible if you want to have an enjoyable experience.

Are you on drugs? what the fuck is shadowmere?

mad drugs = shadowmere
