So either its some kind of bug, or mudop gen'd monsters possibly.  People are dying to this obviously (like myself) and people are stealing deathpiles.  Lame shit as usual.

Stone-Strewn Courtyard

The ground of this long, wide courtyard is covered with small chunks of
stone, likely the bits and pieces that crumble off of the outer walls. Wild
grass grows unchecked here, in patches that do not seem to have any kind of
pattern. Boot-trampled paths work their way about the courtyard, indicating
that the area is frequently used. The keep's outer wall stands to the west.

Also here: vampire bat, big vampire bat, small vampire bat, vampire bat,
vampire bat, big vampire bat, thin vampire bat.

this is gard and his hammer because he is upset with the pvp realm and all the cheating or whatever he was sayin in that other thread...

I think the, "if you cant beat them, join them" mentality is kinda lame...

Nope this wasn't me.  This is a bug.

I'm hearing accusations about twogirlz doing this possibly...Would it be in a log or whatever showing mudop commands being used?

Knowing the frequency of updates here, how would this bug just randomly appear when there hasn't been an update recently?

The only times that odd monsters have *EVER* appeared in improper places on Greatermud, they were put there by mudops. (Not including way back when you could drag monsters to improper maps)

And why are you dismissing the idea/bug being able to drag a level 26 charmable/enslaveable vampire bat already?

This statement was 100% false.

If Twogirls didn't do it, and I can see no reason why he would, then it's either this or some completely random hickup that caused it.

I didn't dismiss anything. But it's pretty ludicrous to assume that someone enslaved hundreds of bats and dragged them to multiple locations across the realm.

Prove me wrong.

We had more than a few problems with mobs spawning in where they should not, even in places as strange as HOD.  It hasn't been an issue in awhile now so far as I know but to say it's never been a problem is just not true.

This problem is being caused by someone with a wooden steak.
