Without going crazy with counting or something..Kid has 90 charm, the other 2 have 40....So we can conclude that your statement about charm effecting the selection and last attack working is 100% wrong.

Or you could conclude that you didn't get the full details of exactly how much it would affect the selection ;)  However if there were 3 people in the room then there should have been others selected.  Were either of the other 2 sneaking and/or hidden?

• Worked on problem with charmed monsters continuing to attack other mobs after spell wore off

Are limited items dropping now?? You tell me.  The charm and room exp were tested by others, apparently the charm thing worked while the room spells failed.

If by full details you mean completely negligible ok..80 swings ok kid..46 on play 73 on tone(you).  Thety are all frontranked no one is hidden or sneaking.  The highest charm person was selected as the target the most often.

W/e the charm thing was....clearly doesn't function.  That said this entire method of fixing the way monster targeting works is flawed.  It would be much better to revert to the previous settings than to attempt to fix w/e this is suppose to be.

We can come up with a plan to fix the monster targeting system, but that plan needs a goal..ie.. What result are we looking for?  From there we can devise a plan..EXAMPLE

We want monster targeting to be more like majormud.

PLAN
Change normal style mob regen to more closely resemble MMUD's.  Normal Style Monster should target the player that caused them to rgen.  They should then check for a path to the player*

Problem: Monsters currently cannot path properly because of a flaw in the way mob movement works.
Action: Fix flaw!

Monster should path to player using monster movement rules*

Problem: Fuck! Monster movement rules?!?! Do we have those...
Action: Add Monster Movement Rules*

Problem: FUCK dunno how to do this when players aren't in the room?!!?
Action: Figure out a way to do this when a player isnt in the room.

When monster finishes path to mobs decide if we want to use 3rd person movement messages(in database) or not(how mmud does it)
Monsters, once pathed to PC, should not obtain a new target until their original target has been attacked at least once.
