lol the one time I check on that forum its GONE.. MMUD is SLLLOOOWWWLY stilll dying  ppl...

Let's be honest.  ForumsHQ was pretty shady.  They were kind of fly-by-night operation (up one day, down the next) and provided links to warez and openly encouraged pirating software.

Over the past several years, other than a couple minor hiccups we've been pretty solid in terms of uptime.  I would hope by now we're seen in a different light than other MMUD related projects.  We're in it for the long-haul and serious about being the de facto successor to MajorMUD.

Do you have any plans/timelines for 1.0? or mod10?

MMB was also the only place with a 10 year treasure trove of sysop and editing support.

The reality of MMB going down means:

Less muds
Less competent sysops
Less players per bbs/reset
Less quality content editing
Less players returning after years away (Many people would check MMB every couple years and start up again)
Less competition between BBSes, leading to lower quality experiences all around

I'm sure you find it great that MMB died, but for the community as a whole it ends up being a severe loss. As much as you want this to be the only place people can play mud anymore, the game isn't even close to finished and development is moving at a snails pace.

Some punctuation for this is a recent example I saw of someone returning to play on GMUD after a few years away and commenting on how they're seeing the same bugs they posted a few years previously. I've tried to stay away from sticking it to the developers lately because I understand your situation, but when you're openly gloating about a kidney punch to what's left of the MMUD community, it makes it a lot easier to remind you of just how unfinished and slow-moving this project is.

RIP MMB, source of fun and help on 100s of mud boards for 1000s of people over the last 10+ years.

I don't wish ill will on anybody, ever.

I'm more discouraged than anyone by the loss of more and more MMUD-related projects.  Metro kicking us to the curb hurt.  Tony and Snigglez dropping out hurt.  Locke dropping out hurt.  The MMUD forums being rendered useless by spambots hurt.  Mike (Entconn) dying hurt.  MMB crashing and burning does not please me in any way.  I wish AA had run things differently.
