I don't play PVP and most likely never will, but reading all this on the forums leaves me dismayed.  A few people are creating so much grief over a game that we only get to play because Vitoc allows it.  This IS his board, his code, his equipment and believe it or not HIS RULES!  There is so much discord right now that I wouldn't be surprised that this game ends up a closed beta instead of an open one.  People who look for and accurately report bugs would earn an invite and the rest of us will get to see the game IF AND ONLY IF Vitoc ever decides to release it.  The only thing that would be worse is if he decides that this just isn't worth it any more and just closes up shop and the only thing we are left with is a continually dwindling number of MMUD boards and no hope of any new content or game improvements.  I appreciate the work that Vitoc and Gardner can put into this UNPAID endeavor and hope they will continue to provide one of the best environments to play this game (both MMUD and GMUD).

In short, be ADULTS, leave uncivil behavior behind and play this game.  Try to help them improve things instead of taking so much of their time mediating between immature children.

My 2 cents.

Agree Will.

The only time we hear from Vitoc (and to some extent Gardner) about the game is when they blow up and tell us how worthless we are. As players who spend countless hours playing this game each week, we would love to know what you are working on, problems you are solving, future plans... in short, to be involved and contribute to progress.

The 500% mystic change is a prime example of terrible communication and the ops just not giving a shit about the players.

Fresh reset, come into the realm and all we are told is.. Mystics are 500% until we can fix them. No discussion, no feedback, no ideas put forward on how this fixing could happen, no reasoning, just mystics, deleted from the game, deal with it players.

Will's post almost brought a tear to my metaphorical eye. That my friends is someone who is in the self proclaimed 3rd stage, and actually just took a half step backwards towards decency.

I'd like to point out something. Since Vitoc & G have started laying the smack down on whining and bitching (Gnor is currently muted as an example), there is this peculiar thing happening.

People are losing the anger.

The better part is that they are still trying to convey their position, however negative it is. But in this thread alone I've got my hawkeye on attitude, and we are starting to see civility and actual discussion.

I'm personally impressed that Fermy reached out to Gardner. Granted, everything is superficial, but hey it's a great start.

The ultimate point I think is that this anger and annoying sniveling going away will calm the mood down for the dev's to start putting trust back into the community.

This is incorrect.  This was announced before the reset along with the reason and the intended plan.  You must have missed it during the several conversations online that took place about it.

As far as ideas on how to fix them, none have really been put forward other than a general agreement that they are way OP in a pvp realm.  I would be interested in any suggestions anyone has that are reasonable.
