Was the river always so mean?

Running with None encumbrance to the island and got smashed twice.

I don't recall in mmud ever getting hit twice on a single room but it did happen to me a couple of times yesterday as well.

yeah it smashes me twice about everytime i run to island and back

The river spell engages no matter what when you enter the room. So you got hit by an insta spell, and then the regular timed one. Try running a few rooms down the river, and you'll see it always goes off every room regardless, seperate from the timed round.

This is temporary.  It was put in as a stop gap measure because people were running out of areas like the frozen lake and drowning because they didn't stay in the exit room long enough for the timed spell to hit them.  As we begin to add the normal delays into the game it should resolve this and we can remove the instant spell fire when you enter the room.

Ehhh...wtf is "Temporary" to you?  It's been like this on gmud for as long as I can remember...sigh

Temporary is until we can find a solution that works as intended.
