Easy killer.

Nobody said new content is out the window.  Spellmod and exp changes are just the beginning.

It may not be out the windows but its close.

I see.  You must have insiders and insight into the future of GreaterMUD I don't have.

TGS v1.0 (coming soon)

It would be nice to see some parity in the scripting areas.  Lair, storms, are OP.  Other viable scripting areas are garbage only due to regen.  For example, the spiny tenatcle areas in the desert have great potential but the regen is balls.  There are areas all over like that which would spread out the scripting spots and force realm exploration for pvp searching.

Also, a balanced economy would be nice.  One time I edited out all the runic and platinum drops on mobs and it was damn tough to scrounge enough cash to level (which also needs to be fixed here).  That was interesting.

He doesn't work and play well with others.  Pay him no mind.

I've worked on exp balancing before and I can assure you that its no small undertaking.  That said there are several people here that seem interested in making changes, maybe a google docs setup would make working on this easier?

That is false I just don't work well with you.

Add more regen areas passed the Avalanche (Path to Commander Markus)

There is already a small umberhulk cavern with only a handful of regen rooms. Exp 450->500 and increase regen.
Add a carrion crawlers nest down there somewhere similar to small pyramid. groups of 10 per room and keep the exp the same.
Add a cave lizard area around the glowing pool (2/1482)

I'm apparently posting in the wrong thread.

Hey, welcome back.  You want to get it started?

TGS v1.0 (coming soon)

Not sure if this stuff is still being considered. I think the mossy tunnels could use a boost of regen. The exp is right, but the mobs take ages to respawn there.

Solid idea!

That's a huge lie, in my opinion. y2duhh is still 'in the old days' where everyone is a huge dick and thinks its cool. In ancient times, however, everyone was excited and nice and fun. So... either keep rewinding or get with the times? Dick in realm is okay, but on forums (or out of realm) two things happen: your word loses value and everyone wants tells you why you're an idiot/wrong.

WRONG!

ya..i thought about it and realized I'd spend 30-40 minutes exporting and formatting a database for google docs and it would maybe get clicked on a couple times..maybe someone would type out a couple numbers but ultimately it would never be used for anything.

Some of the changes in this thread seem pretty solid (eg mine), why not start by implementing those?

you're an idiot an you are wrong, there you go.  we've been hearing about new content from Vitoc for years when it happens i'll retract my statement about it hanging off the ledge. However you've always been a jackass dying for some recognition for your worthless idea (the idea forum is filled with them) so i will never have to retract that statement.

That being said I am (and seem to be in the minority) in the belief that xp rates should be dropped and not increased, that items should be higher in number and more random and that this will  keep more interest inthe game instead of it going stale affter a few months which is the norm. I also think this would get the devs time to work on new stock content at early levels at to replace one day the majormud content they do not legally have the right to use.

I agree, I feel that the best part of the game is low level and that it is blown by.  That said, most of the suggestions here seem to be about adjusting end game exp rates and developing more viable spots to script in the late game.

I'd like to see it take a full day for people to hit level 10 rather than a few hours or we could adjust so of the formulas so that you would be the same power level at level 15 that you currently are at 10 and just scale back content across the board by 5 levels and work on adjusting the level 15 quest content so that some of it can be done at earlier levels and adjust the exp rate so that these quests don't sky rocket players into their their level 20 alignment quests.

agreed I also feel the game is most active pvp and constant boss kills in the 30-40 range and I personally would love to see those ranges take a few months instead of a few weeks. The game gets very stale 50+ and just a few groups really do more than script. I like the idea of scaling thiings back a few levels.
