New Follow Logic

While the new monster follow logic is interesting, it seems to be causing some major issues over time--with rooms filled with 30 monsters, etc.  I suggest a timeout on these "followers" that causes them to roam back to wherever they came from after awhile (giving up the chase, as it were).  It may also be good to prevent their respective spawning rooms from generating more monsters until they are toasted.

Or why not just let em roam around.

I like the new mobs.....
1). it goes against the linear style the game is often abused in.....
ie. run to markus very early even though the mobs you run through are meant for chars in their teens to 20's.
2. Opens up the game for some interesting uses for thos mobes
(try parting a mage an a healer at level 11 near the cultist house and drag them all to one spot and blast the group with blades)

Oh yeah, I'm not knocking the logic, I just don't think it's fully baked.  Monsters shouldn't hang around and stack one room like that for hours and days and weeks.  They should disperse after a time, like logical, rational monsters would do in reality, of course.

So grab some buddies and clear the room....
It is not the number of mobs in the rooms I see as the problem.....
I perceive it as your having the issue with
WE want to run to markus at level 8 or 9...
I do not believe that this was ever what was inteended.
If you have to wait till your level 18 and grab a few friends it will be a cake walk....

No, I've not been to Markus at this point in the game.  I had this problem in slums, of all places, and heard the reports from other locations.  I don't want to go to Markus at 8 or 9... that's pointless.  A 30-mob room is never a cakewalk!

This is about balancing a new piece of logic, not about exploitation.  Please see it as such.  I do not intend it in any other way.  I like the new logic, but it needs some work.

where were you in the slums ????
1) untill i am over 8 I never go near the cultists...them guys suck alone much less in a pack..but the will not go past a certian point
2) not sure about orc sentries though...
But I did say before we even started this push that it was going to cause some grief....between those that run those whom cant...so to speak

I did recommend some tweaks to Vitoc in the pvp realm before the reset. He acknowledged them.

Monsters should be following at normal speed and %, and tracking should take 1/2 of monster follow % as a chance. When moving while tracking, mobs should move slower.

With this tweak, the best chance to be tracked by a monster is a max of 50%.

This would be a good start.

i do not know if the speed has yet been changed..but i had set my mega to rub back if there were more than 1 4 rooms and that was working for me. but no clue how that works for people pushing it...
u cant kill on without take a lot of damage and need to rest a long time...
