Stun/Slep

Besides changing the resisting characteristics or mana consumption by making it less sustainable, here are some new thoughts:

First change stun/slep to an attack spell instead of between rounds. Once you cast stun/slep you would get the *Combat Engaged* message and the enemy would still be rendered helpless but the mage or bard's associated damage could be similar to a mystics' exploding fist.

You cast sleep on Joe!
*Combat Engaged*
Joe takes it in the butt for 99 damage!  (This damage can fluctuate depending on your Testosterone stat.)
*Combat Off*

Another option is to add buffs to the stun/slep like partial petrification.  Add +30 DR and +100 MR.

...I've got my eye on you.

This was an option that came up during a conversation I had with someone last night.  I suggested actually changing it to Flesh to Stone. It would allow for itemization counter play as well as the obv spell counter.
