Multiple spell casting

For some reason, very very occasionally (that I see anyway) I manage to cast my combat spell twice in one round.

[HP=572/MA=658]:exor Tyrannosaur
*Combat Off*
*Combat Engaged*

Valentine pounds Tyrannosaur for 23 damage!
Valentine pounds Tyrannosaur for 33 damage!
Valentine swings at at Tyrannosaur!
Valentine pounds Tyrannosaur for 28 damage!
Valentine critically pounds Tyrannosaur for 110 damage!

You cast exorcism on Tyrannosaur for 525 damage!
You cast exorcism on Tyrannosaur for 576 damage!
Thesifer casts Dancing fire on Tyrannosaur for 244 damage!
Thesifer casts Dancing fire on Tyrannosaur for 153 damage!
Thesifer casts Dancing fire on Tyrannosaur for 269 damage!
Thesifer casts Dancing fire on Tyrannosaur for 360 damage!

Don't know why.  And also I can still cast multiple healing (instant) spells between rounds.  Without breaking combat.

Hmm... I wonder if exorcism uses less than 1000 energy?  I'm at work right now so can't check.  Or maybe I'm not having the backstab use 1000 energy as well?

It uses 1000 energy just looked it up.

Well, I'll be damned.

I could have sworn instant spells had energy requirements as well, but they appear to all be zeros.? I'm thinking about making is so if you have less than 1000 energy, you can't cast a spell, and making all instant spells take a low amount of energy (like 5-100) or something.?

You know how when you cast a spell, sometimes your next combat round you actually swing less?? What does everyone think?

So if I understand correctly, you'll start the round with <1000 energy.? Won't that affect people (like me) trying to cast 1000 energy spells (like exorcism)?

Edit: I left out the word affect.  It made the whole sentence awful to look at.

Crap, you're right.  The fix I implemented should fix it, except it won't affect # of swings per round at all.

Umm, just make it so you can only use 1 'general' spell.

And yes, Unholy force does require 1000 energy.
Is there any noticable patern of when it happens?  I know it doesn't happen on all spells all the time, although I'll admit the only spell in my spellbook is magic missile, but the point is I haven't seen it fire twice yet.

I'll keep watching out, but I haven't seen a pattern so far.  Plus it's harder to test now I'm a witchy ;)
