Profanity
Honestly, the last thing we want to do is tell people they shouldn't say certain words.? However, not everyone wants to hear you drop the F word in every gossip, let alone use it in your name (hint hint Mr. Hostile ;) ).? We have a pretty very relaxed atmosphere, but let's try to keep it reasonably clean in the gossip channel or in rooms with others.? Feel free to use the broadcast channel, telepaths (with people you know won't be offended), and eventually gangpaths (when they get implemented) if you're going to use potentially offensive words.

Flaming
Don't do it.? If you know the person won't be offended, that's fine.? If someone asks you to stop, uhh.... stop.

PVP
PVP, or Player vs. Player for the n00bs out there, is an integral part of most MUDs.? It promotes limited item turnover (when the concept of limiteds is enforced, which it will be) and more player interaction in the game.? There will be no magic forcefields that prevent you from ever being killed by another player, and we're not going to take any action against those players.? However, we will do our best to make it so the law/alignment system serves and protects you as it happens should happen in real life.? We will strive to keep things balanced, so if there's areas that are protective of "good aligned" people there will also be areas that are beneficial and protective towards "evil aligned" people as well.

Sys Powers
When sys powers are given, there's a certain amount of trust that the person will be responsible with those powers.? Summoning 100 Tyrannosaurs in a round or even 2-3 at a time is counterproductive.? Yes, we want to test the limits of the game, but if you're going to do it, do it somewhere where it will not disturb other people who might be doing other legitimate and equally important testing.? The same goes for moving people; don't move them unless they ask you.? The need to log sys power use appears to be inevitable, but rather than spending time parsing through logs to see who did what and when we want to spend the time actually making forward progress on GreaterMUD.?

Consider this a call to all people who have sys powers to use them responsibly.

These rules are being implemented to make everyone's time here more enjoyable and productive.? We will add to and modify these rules as necessary.? Offenders may be booted, suspended, and eventually banned after repeated offenses.? Please let us know if someone is blatantly disregarding these rules or if you feel new rules need to be enforced.

Thanks for everyone's cooperation!

PS. Please keep in mind this is a test realm, meant to do some initial testing/debugging on the engine.? All characters may (and probably will) be reset when the new content is implemented.? So the next time your character gets rerolled, please don't be overly concerned with having them restored since they may not be around for much longer anyway.

TGS v1.0 (coming soon)

Side note, Users will be reset when content is added.? No purpose in having a level 400 test out areas designed for level 1 players.
