It seems GreaterMUD is constantly resetting the screen dimensions to whatever it wants. MajorMUD doesn't do this, so it's possible to have a Windows TELNET session open full screen with lots of lines of content displayed. But if you try to resize Windows TELNET while in GMUD, your window is downsized back to whatever GMUD wants. :P

It's kind of annoying. :(

Hmm....? basically when you resize your telnet box or whatever, your telnet client is actually telling the server, "Hey, I'm changing my screen size to X x Y characters, you ok with that?"? If the client doesn't receive the response (or in this case, any response) from the server the client assumes it's not ok and reverts back to the old size.

I will look into getting the resize to work, but I know there's a slew of special commands that telnet servers are supposed to respond to, and I don't want to get too bogged down at that low of a level.?

I'm willing to bet it is.  We currently aren't supporting anything other than 80 x 25.  We can come back and address this at some point, but I consider it low priority unless more people want it.

Sound fair I was just making sure since it was a very old post...
