When is this thing going to be ready? What are u working at metro pace?  I reckon I could learn to code, write my own mud and have it ready to go before you guys are done.

Please do this.

And be sure to have a forum put up so that people can hassle you when you don't magically get it done right away.

Believe me, I understand your frustration.? I want to see this thing move forward more than anyone else here.? I've just been completely swamped at work, and it's cutting into my spare time.? We're finally nearing the end of major phase of the project we've been working on at work, so I plan to get back to work on Greater MUD this week.

PS. Even if the engine were completed right now, that's only half the battle.  How is content coming along DeathCow?

TGS v1.0 (coming soon)

Is content still being done using Nightmare and MMud?  Or a more direct way?

Some people have zero patients. Something falls off their precieved timetable (thats not even a development time table) and they get all pissy and jumpy and angry.

Maybe he should go learn to code, make his own mud and watch as people flame him over it. Then he might understand. Eather that or he'd bang out some sub par piece of junk and think he was god.... eather way, he'd be out of your guys hair.

If this were my job and all I was doing it be ready by now.  But its not, and unfortunately my work time on it is limited.

My biggest problem is that my original plans were a little to large for what I have the time to work on.  So  I had to revamp and rework a few things.  ATM I'm filtering through a 25,000 room module I made for majormud and I'm cutting it up and using it.  Reworking a few things so that I can accomplish my goals.  Its working out though..things are shaping up,

This is a big project though, so yeah its gonna take some time.

Laugh..I'm proof reading some room descriptions I made.  All I can say is Luagh.

doh-    realm is vitoc.com   port 23?

I'm working on populating shops atm.  This is such a huge pain.

Hey vitoc, would you mind to much If i changed it so in the items database the description was all set up with the description linking to a textblock.  Ie the first line would jsut be a textblock number, and the description would be saved under that number in the textblock database?

oo better yet, I could just leave it blank so I could do it either way, and If i wanted to just use a textblock <cause I can copy/paste that way> I could just enter the textblock number as the Read textblock.

Yeah, you can use textblocks if you want.  I'll just modify the converter to see if there is no description and if not, it will move the description over from the textblock.  OOC, why would you want to use them?  So you don't have to break up the descriptions into lines?

TGS v1.0 (coming soon)

That and most of the descriptions in the editting forum are too long :p
