Does anyone use Firefox?

I've recently installed Firefox and I can't seem to get it to stay logged into the forums.  Cookies are enabled, I can see that I've received cookies from the forums, I've used the "forever" login.  And yet, when each time I load to the forums, I'm logged out again.  This happens when I close the browser and reopen it, open a new window or open a new tab.  So even though I'm CURRENTLY logged in now, when I open the forums in a new tab, I'm logged out again.

I've received two PHPSESSID cookies (that expire at the end of the session) and a SMFCookie10 (that expires in 2012).
I compared the SMFCookie10 against my one in IE, and they seem to match.

Has anyone else had this problem (and hopefully solved it)?
If we can hit that bulls-eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards.? Check-mate!

I have the same problem and haven't been able to figure out how to fix it yet. So if you figure it out, please let me know how you did it.

I figured it out.  Don't use Firefox? :D

Tabbed browsing is the most overrated feature evar.

TGS v1.0 (coming soon)

Tabbed browsing isn't the only reason I use firefox. I love all of my extensions.

I use IE 7.0 and it has tabbed browsing.  That was quickly disabled.  Its retarded.

I like the web dev tools but for normal browsing I use IE.  It just loads so much faster than FireFox and just feels less clunky (probably because it's so integrated with the OS).

That's all very nice.
Now back to my question: has anyone solved this?

Also, the wiki seems to stay logged in indefinitely (like it should), and bugzilla seems to stay logged in for a while (maybe a couple of days).  Haven't picked any pattern to bugzilla yet.

You don't have it set to 'clear private data' when you close the browser, do you?

Yes clearly I'm making a text porn.  Lesuire Suit Mud.

No, I don't, but good idea.  I thought you might have had it for a minute.

shrug, i've been using firefox since it came around pretty much, and I don't have problems with staying logged into the site.......???

Ok, I am still having this problem, but I have noticed something. If i just enter www.greatermud.com into my address bar I have to relog. However, if I click on a signature link from another forum and go to www.greatermud.com/index.php i do not have to relog. I guess I should just bookmark this site already and solve all the problems.

You're a champ!  That's good enough for me.  Must be something to do with Firefox not recognising that http://www.greatermud.com/forums/ and http://www.greatermud.com/forums/index.php are the same site and not loading the cookie info.  Or maybe the cookie is stored differently from what the site requests.

Good to see that it worked for you too.
