He sent us 2 x 512 meg chips of DDR 400 RAM earlier this week.  I installed them on Wednesday, so now we're running 1 gb instead of 512 megs, which will make a huge difference since we were right on the fringe of using virtual memory previously.  Any system functions I tried to perform such as copying files essentially brought the server to it's knees.  This also opens the door for running multiple realms on the GMUD box.

I should have a working (albeit boring) version of the new telnet server shortly so we can start testing.  I'll add a simple teleconference module so we can do some basic multiuser testing.  I'll run it in tandem with the real gmud realm and I'll just have it listen on a different port.  I'll create a new thread about it when I finish so I can stop hijacking my own thread... if that's possible.

Anyway, thanks Rondor, I and the GreaterMUD community thank you!
