yeah, the one where it was bouncing like crazy, the gas pedal got stuck on the floormat. The floormat met a very horrible fate after that. there is no longer a floormat on the driverside either. =)
as for the other one, the last ls1 I drove had a higher shift point, so i'm still tryin to get used to shifting lower

6k, and I've hit it *plenty* of times.  You're busy listening to the beautiful sound of the motor winding up and the power just keeps coming, the next thing you know you're at your redline already. :(

By that point we've already passed our peak HP so raising it won't do a whole lot of good unless you're right at a shift point at the end of the 1/8th or the 1/4.

Specs on the cam?

I've got a mild one; 224/224 562/562 on a 114 lsa.  It's about as aggressive as you can go on an LS1 and still pass smog in California (legally anyway).

I'm pushing 393 rwhp with shorties and my mild cam, so that sounds bout right.  Not too shabby. ;)

I've been doing research on the LS2 lately since I might be in the market for a C6 soon.  With GM's L92 heads ($800), a GM L76 intake($400), and a mild cam it's putting out 550ish bhp.  :o

I'm after something with better handling though, and I'm not a big fan of the GTO's styling (or lack thereof IMO).? Fwiw, I killed one a week ago.? Woulda got it on camera if my gf had been pointing the video camera in the right direction.? :D

HAHAHAH whats with g/f's..........there were alot better video shots that we were doing, but my friends g/f was shoting the video and missed alot of stuff. oh well.
